A – Z
Jason Foster is a beer writer and educator based in Edmonton. He is the beer columnist for CBC Radio and for local weekly magazine Vue Weekly. He is the creator of onbeer.org, a website devoted to craft beer on the prairies. He also writes for a variety of publications across the country on beer-related matters. Jason is an avid, longtime, award-winning homebrewer and a Certified Beer Judge. When not brewing or drinking beer he spends time with his family, tries to ride Edmonton trails on his bike, and has long conversations with his dogs about politics.
Owen Kirkaldy is a Master BJCP beer judge, beer enthusiast and has been a homebrewer for 20 years. He is Education Director and past president of the Edmonton Homebrewers Guild, has been head judge for Edmonton’s Aurora Brewing Challenge and has taught preparation courses for beer judge certification. When he is not brewing or judging beer, Owen is cooking for his growing family and playing with sharp things. Owen’s cat is a much better conversationalist than Jason Foster’s dog. Owen’s best craft beer tip – Sit at the bar, not in a booth. You meet more interesting people that way.
